Starazolin Eye drops 2x5 ml

starezolin #starazolin" target="_blank" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;color:#000000;" rel="noreferrer noopener">Starazolin is a drug for adults and children over 2 years of age indicated for use in the symptomatic treatment of conditions accompanied by swelling and hyperemia of the conjunctiva caused by irritants such as: dust, smoke, contact lenses, wind, bright light, chlorinated water and cosmetics.The drug can also be used in allergic inflammatory conditions, such as: hay fever and grass pollen allergy.Starazolin soothes burning, itching, soreness, excessive tearing and irritation.

Swelling and hyperemia of the conjunctiva, as well as allergic inflammations, such as: hay fever and allergy to grass pollen, eye fatigue.

1 ml contains:

• active substance: tetryzoline hydrochloride 5 mg,
• excipients: sodium chloride, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, sodium tetraborate, boric acid, purified water.

Reducing conjunctival congestion and swelling, alleviating burning, itching, pain, excessive tearing and irritation.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

• Adults and children over 2 years of age: 1-2 drops of the drug, 2 to 3 times a day.
• The drug is applied topically to the conjunctival sac.
• Do not use while wearing contact lenses.

The medicine can be used within 28 days of first opening the bottle. Starazolin is a sterile liquid. Do not touch the tip of the dropper, and after instillation, immediately close the bottle tightly. In the case of disposable containers, tear the container from the leaf. Twist the elongated end of the reservoir, then gently press the reservoir, and instill the squeezed drops into the eye (eyes) after discarding the first two drops. The amount remaining after instillation is not suitable for further use. Contact lenses should be removed before use and reinserted approximately 15 minutes after instillation.

• Hypersensitivity to tetryzoline or any ingredient of this drug.
• Do not use in children under 2 years of age.
• Glaucoma, especially with narrow-angle or other severe eye conditions.

Store at a temperature of up to 25ºC, out of the sight and reach of children.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

• Excessive use (for too long or too often) may lead to sore or burning eyes, reactive congestion, blurred vision, conjunctival irritation or, rarely, dilated pupils. In isolated cases, the drug may exert systemic sympathomimetic effects (increase in blood pressure, faster heartbeat, faster breathing).

Common (fewer than 1 in 10 patients):

• reactive hyperemia,
• burning of the mucous membranes,
• dry mucous membranes,
• systemic effects (e.g. palpitations, headaches, tremors, weakness, excessive sweating, increased blood pressure).

Very rare (fewer than 1 in 10,000 patients):

• hyperkeratosis of the conjunctiva with closure of the lacrimal points and excessive lacrimation.

Blurred vision, conjunctival irritation, rarely mydriasis may occur. There is a risk, especially in newborns and children up to 2 years of age, of symptoms associated with the absorption of the drug, including after swallowing it. The most important side effects are: central nervous system disorders, such as increased blood pressure, arrhythmias, tachycardia (rapid heartbeat), tachyarrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), reactive bradycardia (slow heartbeat).

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken, or might take.

• The drug used simultaneously with MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants, guanethidine or reserpine may increase blood pressure. When using these drugs, the drug can only be used after consulting a doctor.
• When anesthetics, insulin, atropine sulphate or propranolol are used concomitantly with tetryzoline, the effect of these drugs on the circulatory system may be intensified.
• When using other eye drops at the same time, there should be a 15-minute interval between instillations.
