Fennel fruit is a natural, dried plant material obtained from the fennel plant (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.). Fennel has long been used in traditional herbal medicine, particularly as a raw material for digestive ailments and as an expectorant. FLOS contains 100% fennel fruit and is intended for oral use as a ego , warm infusion.

METHOD OF PREPARATION AND USE

Infusion: Pour 1 cup (150 ml) of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of crushed fennel fruit (approximately 5 g) immediately before use. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain. Drink 1 cup of warm infusion 2–3 times daily. Fennel should not be used regularly for longer than 3 weeks.
